CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Travelers preparing to head to Myrtle Seashore, South Carolina, from Charleston for summer months getaway will want to discover another form of transportation.
West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) declared Wednesday that Spirit Airlines canceled the direct flight from the airport to Myrtle Beach front.
The pause stems from a blend of air targeted traffic management issues and staffing shortages inside Spirit.
Airport spokeswoman Rachel Urbanski stated the airline told the airport there’s been an uptick in holidaymakers heading to Florida, where Spirit is headquartered.
She added Florida has had a rise in bad temperature, creating 115 several hours of air targeted traffic delays in April when compared with 22 hours of delays in April 2019.
The Myrtle Seaside flight was scheduled to fly out 2 times a week starting off Memorial Day through Labor Day.
It is a disappointment to quite a few West Virginians who recurrent the Grand Strand.
